A lot of our customers are slowly adopting cloud. More and more customers are moving their production workloads to both Amazon as well as Oracle Cloud. In particular, we have Enterprise customers who are afraid and, because of security reasons, not able to move to the cloud, but with more and more customers making announcements that they have successfully migrated the production workloads to cloud, we have seen a trend where a lot of our customers are asking, help us to go to cloud. And so it's not just cloud in terms of Oracle Cloud, but also AWS and Azure as well.
And so-- but both of these vendors, AWS and Oracle, have tremendous capabilities. Both of them offer MBME as well as SSD storage, and Oracle offers Exadata Cloud Service as well. Now we can actually accommodate any kind of workload in the cloud as well, and Exadata, as well as [? parameta ?] cloud can actually address millions and millions of IOPs.
Obviously, the larger the database, it's going to be harder to move to the cloud, right? We have customers who have hundreds and hundreds of terabytes of databases, and imagine pushing hundreds and hundreds of terabytes over a wide area network, or even on a FastConnect, right? One gigabit is not going to cut it. Even with 10 gigabit, it's going to be a challenge to move 100 terabytes of database into the cloud.
So what we do is we leverage SharePlex in our situation, and so we can actually instantiate the database, let it actually propagate to Oracle Cloud, and spend a week moving that database to the cloud and have SharePlex replicate the changes and eventually catch up. And we can actually do a zero downtime migration to Oracle Cloud. And that's what we specialize on.
On top of that, a lot of customers are even looking at upgrading the databases along the way. So leveraging SharePlex again, we can not only migrate them to the cloud with zero downtime, but also upgrade them to the latest release of Oracle as well.
