Welcome to the Quest On Demand Recovery for Azure Active Directory video demonstration. Quest recovery for Azure Active Directory SaaS application lets you back up Azure Active Directory and Office 365 users, attributes, groups, and group membership. It restores Azure Active Directory in Office 365 users and groups with their properties.
We can process two types of Office 365 groups-- Office 365 and security groups. To access recovery for Azure Active Directory, click on the Backup And Recovery link on the left-hand pane or the Go button under the Recovery For Azure Active Directory widget. Let's start off with managing backups.
Click on the Manage Backup link. Then you're going to select your tenant and click Edit. Here you have two options.
The first is if you want to enable backups to run every hour. You can enable or disable it. The second is the retention policy. You can set it from one month to three years.
Then there is the Unpack Backups link. This allows you to browse your backups and unpack the desired backup. You can see that there's a list of them here. You would just select it and save the one you would like to unpack.
There are five main tools or screens to use. The screen you are looking at now is the Dashboard main page. It's a source of all general information regarding current project status. Next, you have the Objects screen, which allows you to see a list of users and groups that have been backed up along with the ability to restore or export a list of the backed-up objects.
Then you have the Differences screen, which allows you to see what has changed in Azure Active Directory since your last unpack backup along with being able to restore the object and export a list of what is displayed on the screen with more details. You can also search and restore changes as you wish. Even wildcard searches are possible.
The Events screen provides you detailed information about errors and warnings that occur during backup creation and restore operations. And lastly, the Tasks screen allows you to view the task status and manage them-- for example, the progress of a backup. For all these features, you can switch between the List view and the Chart view, which breaks all the data down for you with pie charts and graphs.
